Lance Bass and Danielle Fishel stated that they are working on a movie that would tell their love story. Recently they exposed this updated news on the “Pod Meets World” show. When Bass’ band *NSYNC accepted an invitation to play for a special “TGIF” live performance, ABC introduced the two celebrities. Fishel, who at the time co-starred with Ben Savage on the ABC comedy “Boy Meets World,” served as the event’s host.
Bass, who publicly came out as homosexual in 2006, said that attending prom with his date was a significant turning moment in his life. They decided to turn this prom story into a movie because so many people can identify with it. For many LGBT people, prom night was the night they thought. “This must stop happening”, he urged. It took them a long time to start accepting themselves but this was the catalyst for them. That was undoubtedly the first tiny straw that broke.
Lauren Lapkus and Mary Holland wrote the film’s script. Fishel didn’t reveal the specific timeframe of her relationship with Bass, but even after it ended, she still believed the two were going to get married.
It turns out I’m not Lance’s type, she added, adding, “I held on for hope for way too long that we were going to get back together, get married, and have a family.”
