A Weekend Away

Melinda left her boyfriend, George, home alone for the time being when she went on a lovely weekend vacation with some of her girlfriends. But did she really think that George was left alone?

Melinda saw something wrong with the photo when he sent her a selfie from the bedroom. When she saw it, she tried to call George as quickly as possible to tell him what she had just seen.

Such A Strange Selfie

George recently sent his girlfriend a selfie because she wanted to see him. He took the selfie in his bedroom and sent it to his girlfriend without looking at it because what could actually go wrong when you take a selfie in your own room, right?

He sat back down on the couch like he was also on vacation. But then he started getting a lot of notifications on his phone. He checked it and he got a lot of texts from Melinda. Did something happen to her?

Behind You, George!

George is perplexed by the situation. Melinda doesn’t usually send so many messages at once. Did she get into trouble? Was she kidnapped? Was she robbed? What’s wrong? It was really unusual for her to send a lot of messages like this.

He didn’t think this was because of him because he was safe and sound. He didn’t possibly take a good selfie or make the bed correctly. But nothing could be further from the truth when he discovers what the texts are about… BEHIND YOU!

What’s That Under Your Bed?

When George reads the texts, his face turns bright red, and he checked the selfie he sent to his girlfriend for confirmation. But Melinda is correct in her observations. Something or someone was under the bed.

“What is that under our bed, George?” Melinda really wants to know. What was hidden beneath George’s bed? Was he keeping something from Melinda? Or was he planning something while she was away?

For The First Time In Years

George and Melinda were about to spend a week apart for the first time since they started dating. Recently, some disagreements had become increasingly heated and they’ve decided to save their relationship.

They decided that some time apart was exactly what they needed. Maybe all they needed was to miss each other. So Melinda planned a trip and George would have the house to himself for the weekend.

Strange Behaviors

When the vacation was fast approaching, Melinda noticed that George was acting so strange – almost jittery. Is it possible that he just wasn’t prepared to spend the week alone? Or was it something else entirely? She had no idea what it was, but he insisted she go. He seemed to be pushing her away.

Melinda left the following day, still a little worried. She knew this was exactly what she needed, and it was likely that George did as well. Some time apart to ponder and have fun without each other. Things would be better when she returned. She hoped so, at least.

Cutting Communications To Enjoy Their Time Apart

In a relationship, quality time is very important. However, time apart from each other is also needed. We’re all individuals with different interests and passions. And so, having a partner should not hinder us from enjoying our own lives.

While the original idea was for Melinda to stay away from George during the entire duration of the vacation, it only took a few days for her to feel the temptation to text him again. She also just wanted to see his face again and hoped he’d give her some photos.

Honeymoon Phase All Over Again

George was actually very open to texting with Melinda, much to her delight. He said that he had been missing her as well. Even those few days apart seemed to be enough to reset things. Melinda was thrilled at first, but she soon became concerned.

We may miss somebody for a variety of reasons, but once that emotion surfaces, it can be quite difficult to overcome. “Missing someone implies you care for them, love them and cherish them.”

George Is On His Own Vacation, Too.

She jokingly requested a few images from him in his “vacation home.” George looked amused by the joke and began sending her selfies he had taken all over the house. Walking about the house and snapping pictures was more enjoyable than he had anticipated. However, he was not paying enough attention.

The texting continued over the next few days, and they even spoke on the phone once or twice. Melinda had also been sending George photos from her vacation, but she hadn’t seen his face in a while. Melinda came up with an idea because he hadn’t been open to this yet.

Little Heart Attack Moments

When Melinda was browsing through the images he sent her, she was beaming from ear to ear. She was quite fortunate to have George in her life. For a little while, everything seemed ideal, but then Melinda saw George’s selfie in their bedroom and her world came to a halt.

She had to take a second look and even showed the photo to her girlfriends to confirm what she was seeing. They did, however, all observe the same thing. Something was peeking out from beneath the bed. And she was now very concerned about what this could mean.

Emergency Situation

It might still be anything at this time, and Melinda tried not to be concerned. She took a few long breaths and assured herself that nothing was wrong. However, when she inquired as to what they were seeing, George abruptly stopped talking.

He didn’t even return Melinda’s phone calls. Melinda was now aware that something was wrong, and the stress was coursing through her veins. What had happened at home? What secrets did George keep from her? Was she hallucinating or was there really someone under the bed? She simply had to know.

From George’s Perspective

George was ecstatic when Melinda informed him she was going away for the week with her pals so they could spend time apart. He was ecstatic at the possibility of getting some freedom, as he had recently felt suffocated by Melinda.

The days leading up to Melinda’s departure went by normally and without any problem but the day before she was to leave, George received some surprising texts from a number he recognized but had never expected to hear from again. The guy from whom he received the messages was very straightforward and direct about the idea.

Keeping It Together

He tried not to show that these messages made him feel anything, but George had always had a bad poker face, and he was afraid that Melinda could see right through his nonsense. But, to his astonishment, she remained silent, and they continued to prepare.

George tried not to worry about the messages during his first days alone in the house. He just wanted to forget about them and hoped that they would be gone. He knew he wouldn’t be able to reply or act on them. It would be completely inappropriate of him.

Comforted By His Girlfriend’s Messages

It was a comfort and nice distraction for George when Melinda began messaging him again after only a few days. This was exactly what he needed to distract himself from the other text messages he received. And he was overjoyed to hear from Melinda once more saying that she, too, missed him.

And it worked perfectly. As George’s contact with Melinda came more often, the other messages faded further into the background. But then something happened, and everything came flooding back to him. And he was less than pleased with the way things were going.

Unexpected Visitor

A loud beating on the front door roused George in the middle of the night. He was fully up and alert right away. “Could it possibly be her?” Was she going to ignore the messages this time? ” But no. That’s not possible. Maybe Melinda had reconsidered her decision to stay away for so long.

He approached the main door with reluctance. George knew he should have just ignored it and stayed in bed, but the temptation was too strong for him. He just needed to know what was going on once and for all. He went downstairs and carefully opened the door after taking a big breath.

There Was Nobody There

But, to his amazement, no one was present. Was all his stress for nothing?  Maybe he was hallucinating or it was just a bunch of kids playing games with him. Perhaps it was the fragments of a dream. He went upstairs to bed, still a little wobbly on his legs.

The first thing he did when he entered his room was close the window. It was becoming unbearably cold for him. And, oddly enough, he had no recollection of leaving it open in the first place. He must still be in a deep slumber. But no matter what, he was exhausted and eager to retire to his bed.

Things Are Becoming Unbearable For Him

George was attempting to fall asleep again, but he was having significant difficulty. Normally, he’d be fast asleep again, but tonight was proving difficult. Perhaps it was because he had been violently awoken and was still disturbed. Or maybe it was just the peculiar feeling of being watched that he couldn’t shake.

Whatever it was, he did eventually fall asleep, and he awoke feeling rejuvenated and unconcerned about everything. He was thinking about the sun shining, birds singing, and all the happy things around him, rather than what had transpired the night before. He had received his first text of the day from Melinda, but it felt good.

Optimism In The Relationship

He texted Melinda throughout the morning. Their relationship appeared to be heading in the right path, and he was upbeat. But something was going on that he was completely unaware of. Was it going to affect everything, including his cheerful disposition? Or would things be okay in the end?

Melinda had been sending George pictures of herself on vacation since they had reconnected. She was pretty constant about it, and he was beginning to feel a little envious of her. After all, each of those photographs demonstrated that he was trapped here, not having the time of his life like she was.

Trying To Be A Supportive Partner

He was caught in the cold while she was having a lovely day in the sun. Despite his jealousy, he tried not to think about it too much because he wanted Melinda to have a good time. So perhaps he should try to be more supportive. In any case, Melinda had a great idea to make him feel less excluded from the festivities.

Melinda suggested that George send her vacation images in the same manner that she was sending him. He could send pictures of his “vacation house,” despite the fact that it was just a regular home. He’d feel like he was doing something exceptional as well. Of course, he realized it was simply an excuse to take a picture himself, but it was better than nothing, right?

Agreeing To What His Girlfriend Suggested

George, on the other hand, decided to have some fun with it. He began taking silly selfies around the home and sending them to her. Some were just for laughs, while others were a little more revealing. But it was an excellent idea because he was having a nice time with this one. He didn’t feel so out of the loop any longer. However, things were not as he had anticipated.

He plopped down in front of the TV after capturing all the images and sent them all to Melinda at once. The game was about to begin, and as much fun as taking photos had been, he wasn’t going to miss any of it. He’d already shot enough pictures. He didn’t even bother to look at them before sending them, which was a mistake.

That Weird Picture

Something protruded from beneath the bed in the backdrop of his photograph. In fact, it’s more than that. George was frightened because it appeared to be hair sprouting out from under the bed. In fact, if he was being honest, he was terrified that someone might be in the house with him.

He set his phone on the table and stood up, his legs trembling. He’d have to look into it, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to. In fact, he had a strong suspicion that someone was present. Could that be the explanation for all he’d noticed up to this point? What was he going to do then?

Is This It?

As he ascended the stairwell, George began to ponder deeply. Isn’t this the case? He and Melinda had to be mistaken. But then he began to wonder if all of his anxieties had been justified. Could it be that his worries weren’t quite so irrational after all? Could everything be right in front of him?

He’d gotten messages. The unexpected knock at the door in the middle of the night. The open door. Everything was starting to make sense, and as he climbed the stairs, he was even more certain. She had no choice but to come. She had to be there, right now, in the house. But where has she gone?

Checking Under The Bed

George moved up the stairs and down the corridor as quietly as he could. He then slammed the bedroom door shut and peered beneath the bed, where the hair was visible in the photo. There was, however, nothing there. There are no hairs poking out from beneath the bed. He even got down on his hands and knees to double-check.

As he looked under the bed once more, his heart was hammering. There was nothing there. But there was no other explanation for what he and Melinda had seen in the photograph. That implied he had to be correct. She had to be around here. All he had to do now was figure out where she had gone. It wasn’t hidden beneath the bed. But where is it, exactly?

There Was Nothing But There Was Someone

He began searching the entire room, including the closet, doors, and even the dresser. He looked everywhere for her, but there was no trace of her. He heard his phone below as he continued to look. Melinda was most likely calling, frustrated that she couldn’t reach him just now. So he descended the stairwell.

George was hurrying down the stairs to get his phone when he came to a complete stop. Someone else had already taken his phone and stood there holding it. His instinct had always been correct. Someone was actually in the house with him. He was now looking right at them.

The Mysterious Girl

George had been dating another girl named Tamica before he and Melinda started dating. She was a good girl overall, but she was far too possessive and controlling. He eventually ended his relationship with her and afterward met Melinda. Since then, the two have been dating. But the story didn’t end there.

Tamica had never forgiven George or Melinda in her heart. She was still madly in love with him and had been stalking him for years after their separation. She had refused to leave him alone after the breakup, and he had been forced to deal with her on several occasions, but that wasn’t all.

Stay Away From My Boyfriend

George had to acquire a restraining order against Tamica because he couldn’t convince her to leave him alone. He’d attempted to keep the whole incident hidden from Melinda, but it wasn’t going to be easy. Tamica was currently standing in his living room on the phone with Melinda. ‘Stay away from her boyfriend,’ she was told.

George snatched the phone from her grip and told her to leave. He even threatened to call the cops if she didn’t leave right away. Thankfully, she agreed to leave. She insisted, though, that she would return and that the two of them would eventually end up together. She stated that there was no way to prevent fate.

Revealing Everything To Melinda

George quickly called Melinda and told her everything. He informed her of Tamica’s presence in the house, as well as the stalking he had been concealing and the restraining order. She was astounded by everything and how he had kept it hidden. Of course, she knew about Tamica, but she had no idea what was going on.

George and Melinda eventually decided to relocate to a new state. Tamica’s stalking looked to have come to a stop because she didn’t have the funds to continue. Instead, they appeared to be resuming their normal lives and having fun. There was no longer any reason to be concerned. At the very least, they were confident that things will improve in the future.
