This year’s Met Gala would be quite disappointing, especially for Zendaya fans. Because the actress Euphoria actress decided to bow out of the event. But now everyone is wondering why the actress has decided not to attend this annual event which is going to be held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
In an interview, Zendaya said, “I hate to disappoint my fans here, but I will be working. Your girl’s got to work and make some movies, so I wish everyone the best—I will be playing tennis.” Fans might already be aware that Zendaya is currently filming a movie named “Challengers” which is based on the high-stakes world of competitive tennis.
However, Zendaya also confirmed that she will be back at the Met Gala event in the future. She is assuring her fans by saying, “I’ll be back, though, eventually.” So, fans have nothing to worry about. Fans can recall that the actress was not present at the 2021 event either. At that time, she said, “My fans are going to be very upset with me. I will unfortunately not be able to attend because I’ll be working for Euphoria.”
However, many celebrities including Kim Kardashian have confirmed her presence at the 2022 Met Gala. Kim explained, “It really depends if I fit into my dress, so I hope I’m going. I think it will be up to the last minute because it can’t be tailored, so I have to fit into it like exactly.”
