Mac Miller’s Family Released A Vinyl Edition Of The Rapper’s Mixtape ‘Macadelic

The family of famous rapper Mac Miller has shared some rare footage along with a vinyl edition of the rapper’s mixtape ‘Macadelic. The footages are from the mixtape’s original release which was captured randomly at that time.

The new release was coinciding with the tenth anniversary of its release. Miller performed his mixtape by way of an experiment and released it in 2011. However, his debut album ‘Blue Slide Park’ was also dropped in the same year.

Mac Miller died in 2018 due to an accidental drug overdose. At that time, he was only 26 years old. Now the portions of the sales from the vinyl will go to the Mac Miller Fund which is working to support young musicians to get access to costly musical resources.

On the third anniversary of Miller’s death, several famous artists paid tribute to him on social media. Kid Cudi wrote on Twitter, “Always in my heart man.” While Kehlani tweeted, “Forever n ever”.

Miller’s friend Vince Staples spoke about the impact the late musician had on him in an interview. He said, “He gave me advice but also opportunity, I would say is the easiest way to put it,” Staples also added, “Like, ‘You should be doing more music, but I’m also gonna help you with the beats…’ And that kind of just put me in a good position to be set up.”
