CNN suspended Chris Cuomo after sexual harassment allegations against former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. The governor is Chris’s brother and it is claimed that Chris “offered advice” related to this sexual harassment. New York’s former governor Andrew Cuomo resigned in August 2021.
CNN has decided to suspend Chris Cuomo indefinitely. So, Chris Cuomo will not be able to deliver the news to CNN. The suspension is pending further evaluation. This incident just happened in the midst of the politician’s sexual harassment allegations.
A CNN spokesperson said about the “Cuomo Prime Time presenter”. The statement mentioned, “The New York Attorney General’s office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo’s involvement in his brother’s defense. The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions.”
The spokesperson also said, “He broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly. But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second.”
However, former governor Andrew has denied the allegations. He said in a press conference, “I want you to know directly from me that I never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances.”
