Arca was about to release her ‘KICK ii’, ‘KicK iii’ and ‘kick iiii’ albums on the first week of December. But She released her ‘KICK ii’ project early. It is heard that the other volumes of her ‘Kick’ series will be dropped later this week.
The Venezuelan producer released the second volume of her ‘Kick’ album series via XL Recordings. Fans can remember that last year ‘KiCk i’ was nominated for Grammy Awards. That album featured various stars like Cardopusher, Boys Noize, Mica Levi, Jenius Level, Wondagurl, and Cubeatz.
Recently Arca shared a new track “Queer” which featured electronic musician Planningtorock. With distorted Spanish and English vocals that track amazed the audience from the first bit. The glitchy track was the preview of the artist’s third volume of the “Kick” series. It follows Sia collaboration “Born Yesterday” and “Prada/Rakata” which are taken from “KICK ii”
NME’s Dhruva Balram said about this album, “presents a new high-water mark” for Arca, calling it her “most accessible record yet” but noting that “there are no signs of compromise here”.
