Janine and Derrick have been married for two and a half years. They managed to get their own house and in seven months, they are to welcome their first child. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Janine had noticed a change in Derrick’s behavior. Her instinct tells her that he is hiding something from her but she still had to find out what it was. Janine tried to confront her husband about his being secretive but Derrick denied it and told her that she had nothing to worry about.
A wife’s investigation
But Janine could not help but worry about it because Derrick’s behavior worsened ever since she confronted him. He started coming home late from work and started taking calls in other rooms. Janine has had enough and decided to act on it. When Derrick was lost in deep sleep, Janine woke up at dawn to go through his phone.

Janine has known Derrick’s password for a while now but she never had tried to invade his privacy until now. She was very nervous and was afraid of getting caught but what choice does she have? As she keyed in the password, she made a mental note of all the apps she should check to look for evidence. It did not take long for Janine to find the proof she needs. Janine immediately opened the message history that Derrick had with this woman. What she read confirmed that her husband was having an affair. They had met up several times for coffee and dinner dates. Then Janine realized something. This woman looked familiar.
An office affair uncovered
Janine clicked on the woman’s profile picture and suddenly the answer came to her. This woman was Derrick’s officemate! They even met a couple of times during Derrick’s work-related events. Janine could not believe this. Her hand was shaking with anger. In fact, she could not help but slap Derrick awake.

An intense fight immediately ensued. There was no use denying it once Derrick saw that Janine had his phone in her hand. He tried to be defensive about it saying that the affair was just a temporary solution while Janine had no interest in being intimate because of the pregnancy. Janine was livid when she heard this. Needing space

So, Janine decided that if Derrick won’t leave the house, then she will. She grabbed the car keys and headed out. Derrick tried to stop her from leaving but Janine was already out of the driveway. She knew that she had to stay away from her husband. In her state of mind, she could easily murder him. But in her state of mind, she should have never been on the road either.
Fast and furious
Janine was driving her car at a dangerous speed. She was completely overwhelmed by all the thoughts and emotions going through her. Since it was in the early hours of the morning, the road was empty so she felt herself speeding up more.

Suddenly, a rabbit crossed the road. Janine tried her best to avoid by swerving the car but at the speed that she was going, she lost control of the steering wheel. She tried to hit the brakes as hard as she could but it did not work. Before she knew it, her car was spinning off the road and ran into a large tree.
Trip to the hospital
The car was a wreck. Janine felt herself slipping in and out of consciousness. Fortunately, another car had passed by and stopped to help her get out of the car. The passerby was able to call 911 for help and soon, the paramedics were on the scene. At this point, Janine had already lost her consciousness and slipped into a coma.

Janine was taken to the nearest hospital, which was 10 minutes away. The paramedics were able to get Derrick’s contacts through Janine’s phone (which fortunately had no password) and called him to inform him about what happened.
Comatose wife
Derrick told the paramedics that he would go to the hospital right away. But Janine had driven quite a long way and that soon the morning traffic start pouring in. It would take at least an hour for Derrick to get to the hospital.

When Janine arrived at the emergency room, she was in a comatose state for almost 30 mins. The doctors tried to take her out of it since it would be very dangerous in her condition to stay that way. It was not easy but they managed to bring her back to a semi-conscious state.
She wanted to say something
Janine was very weak and confused when she woke up. She opened her eyes and looked around. Then, she immediately tried to move her hand to tell the hospital staff something. Derrick was informed that Janine was still in surgery. Derrick tried to get in the operating room but was stopped by a nurse, who told him that he had to wait outside. The nurse was then reminded of the note Janine wrote earlier. She looked at Derrick and wondered if he had something to do with it.

Checking on the baby
The doctor had to wake Janine up so they can check on the baby. When Janine woke up, she was in a daze. She does not recognize her surrounding or the faces in the room. But then Janine immediately started panicking and started asking about her baby.

The doctor calms her down and told her that they woke her up so that they can check on the baby. He then explained that they did not know she was pregnant when they did the surgery so they need to check on the baby right away. This caused Janine to panic even more. “How could you not know? Everything was okay
Hearing this, David took out the note from his pocket. He gave it another look and suddenly he could make out what Janine was trying to scribble. Derrick gave Janine the time to rant and throw everything on the table and Derrick listened and apologized. The accident made them realize their love for each other and they were determined to leave all their problems behind when they leave the hospital.

She was cleared to be discharged after making sure that she had no lasting damage from the accident. Derrick was able to drive Janine home, happy that they were able to work things out.
