Some people are afraid of entering an empty room at night because they believe there could be some paranormal stuff going on. However, that is nothing but our imagination roaming wild, trying to spook us.

At least that’s what the protagonist of our story used to tell herself whenever she heard unexplained noises in the house. Then, one day she had no other choice but to hammer down her wall. She was in for a surprise when the wall revealed the source of the noises.
Just Another Normal Day
It was just another normal winter day when the owner entered her apartment after another tiresome work day. She was rather preoccupied as she was thinking about the non-work tasks she still had to do.

The moment she entered and switched on the lights, her children, who were hiding behind the door, surprised her. As a mom, she pretended to act surprised. What she didn’t know is that there was another surprise waiting for her.
Mysterious Cries
She asked her kids how their day went while she unpacked their bags and took out their lunchboxes. The kids filled her in on their day and she listened attentively. Then, they went inside their bedroom to watch some TV.

While the kids were watching TV, she was busy making a grocery list. Suddenly, she heard the cry again. She couldn’t pinpoint where it was exactly coming from. This wasn’t the first time she had heard those cries. She’d attempted to find the source of the noise but was unsuccessful.
Is It All Real?
Finally, she got tired of hearing those weird sounds. She was so desperate in finding out where they were coming from so she could put her mind at ease. She often thought maybe she was just hallucinating and there was no weird sounds.

The reason why she thought she was imagining things was because she was the only person who could her them and no one else. Today was different, though. She was set on finding out who or what was responsible for this.
Her Theory
As she sat on the couch, her mind was all over the place. She was never one to believe in supernatural phenomena, but these noises were making her doubt herself. Then, she thought of something. What was she thinking?

She was aware that her kids were rather cheeky but, she also knew they wouldn’t go as far as annoying her. Still, she assumed they were playing a trick on her. The woman decided to return the favor and surprise her kids, too.
Dumbstruck
The woman slowly tiptoed to their room and tried to catch them in the act. When she entered, she was surprised to see her kids doing nothing of the sort. Instead, they were doing what they were supposed to be doing—watching TV.

This revelation left her dumbstruck. If her kids weren’t making these noises, then who was? She went back to the living room and sat back down on the couch, at a complete loss for words. Now, she didn’t know what to do.
Some Silence
While she was sat on the couch thinking about the sounds, she hadn’t realized she was thinking in silence. The sounds had stopped for a moment, which only made her more confused and frightened.

Her mind began to shift into high gear and started to run wild. She couldn’t take it any longer and decided to let someone know about the situation. She picked up the phone and called her neighbor. As she dialed the number, the cries continued.
Asking The Kids
Before she involved other people into her situation, she wanted to make sure she wasn’t going crazy, so she asked her kids. In a shaky voice, she called them to the living room. When the kids came in, they were surprised to see their mom looking like she had seen a ghost.

She asked her kids if they were also hearing the sounds, but then, the cries had stopped. The children failed to understand what she was trying to say. When they disagreed, the mother thought she was indeed going crazy. However, as the kids were going back to the room, they began to hear a faint cry.
Searching The House
All of them started looking at each other as the sound grew louder and louder. The mother told her children they needed to find out where the noises were coming from. So, they spread out in and turned the whole house upside down.

They looked all over the house but just couldn’t find where it was coming from. Eventually, they all crowded around one part of the living room and were sure the sound was coming from behind the wall. There was a TV in front of the wall so they double check to make sure the noise wasn’t coming from the tv.
Overwhelmed
No matter where they looked, they just couldn’t find it. The woman was now getting frustrated. She had a long day at work and didn’t want to deal with this, too. But she knew if she didn’t solve this now, she’d just get more frustrated.

While she was trying to come up with a plan, she approached the wall and put her ear against it. When she did this, the cries were more audible and distinct. She said to herself, “I must do something.”
Inside The Wall
She was now certain there was something hiding behind the wall. What she didn’t understand, though, was how it managed to get stuck inside for so long. Now she knew it was her duty to rescue whatever was inside the wall.

This was one decision that wasn’t easy for her. Breaking the wall meant discovering what was hidden inside. Was she ready to face whatever was in it? She called her kids and asked the to get a hammer and bring it to her.
A Possible Danger
She was ready to act on her decision when another thought crossed her mind. What if something dangerous was behind that wall and her breaking it open might mean putting her and her family in danger?

However, deep down she knew she had to break down the wall and lay the curiosity to rest. So, she took the hammer and aimed to break it down. But first, there were things she wanted to figure out.
Breaking It Down
She knew exactly where the noise was coming from, but she also knew she couldn’t just break down the wall with the hammer. She was scared she would hurt whatever was behind it. First things first, she needed to find a weak point.

She placed her ears against the wall one more time. She listened to the noise again to determine exactly where she had to strike the wall. Would she be successful in safely taking out whatever was behind the wall?
Acting On It
She was nervous about breaking down her wall, but she knew solving this mystery would finally put her mind at ease. Again, she picked up the hammer and positioned to strike. Would she finally do it?

Finally, she began hitting the wall with the hammer. At first, she was striking it with a gentle force, but eventually, she struck with such great force that she made a hole in the wall. Would she finally have her answer?
Making A Hole
The woman had finally made a hole, but it still wasn’t big enough to put her hand through. She had to continue breaking the wall down until she’d have a hole big enough for her hands to go through.

The bigger the hole became, the louder the cries grew. She had to take a quick pause to determine whether the hole was big enough already, but she knew she couldn’t waste more time. So, she sped up.
A False Alarm?
When the hole was finally big enough for her hand to go through, she put it in. She and her kids were nervous. Suddenly, her hands felt something. She pulled her hand out and began to inspect whatever it was she grabbed.

To her dismay, it was nothing but drywall and dirt. She began to doubt her decision of breaking down the wall. Maybe she was just hallucinating after all. Just then, the cries started again. All her previous doubts disappeared, and she put her hand through the wall once more.
What Was Inside?
She began digging deeper, completely set on solving this mystery that was tormenting her. The whole was beginning to turn into a tunnel, but she was still unsure of what she was going to find inside the wall.

Suddenly, her hand brushed against something. It felt tiny and fluffy. She first thought she had touched some insulation, but then her heart skipped a beat. This thing her hand brushed against had moved. Nervous, she pulled out the thing.
A Surprising Discovery
When she finally pulled out the fuzzy thing, everyone was completely surprised. The woman couldn’t believe that the thing making the sound was a tiny kitten. This kitten had white fur. But what surprised the family more was how this kitten managed to survive.

She began to wonder how these poor kittens ended up inside the wall in the first place. However, this wasn’t her main priority. Her main priority was to finish the task she had in her hands.
More Cries
As she was trying to tend the kitten in her hands, she began to hear another cry coming from inside the wall. She realized there were more kittens inside the wall waiting to be rescued. She put the kitten down and continued to dig the hole.

She wanted to take all of the kittens out as quick as possible but there was one small obstacle. Before she could rescue the second kitten, she had to dig out as much dirt as possible so the kittens wouldn’t get hurt while she was pulling them out.
The Mission Continues
When the dirt was all piled up, she continued her task of rescuing the kittens. She grabbed ahold of the second kitten and took it out. Her children carefully held the second kitten and admired it.

Then, they heard more cries coming from the wall. She realized they couldn’t just keep on putting the kittens on the floor. She asked one of her kids to get a basket tub. The kid knew they needed some help so he looked for someone.
Asking For Help
The kid wasn’t really expecting anyone to be up at this hour, so he was surprised to find his Aunt Dotty out. Aunt Dotty was surprised to see him out, so she went to him to ask what was going on. The kid explained everything and they went back inside the house.

The mom was anxiously waiting for her kid to return with the basket. She knew there was no time to waste. She put her hand inside the wall again to rescue kitten number three. She hoped this was the last kitten she would need to rescue.
Kittens
She tried to take the third kitten out of the wall. She wasn’t only concerned about rescuing the kittens, but also wanted to make sure they were safe. She felt nervous as she took the third kitten out of the wall.

When the third kitten came out, they all admired how cute it looked. The woman felt completely happy that she followed her gut and broke down the wall. Her children took all of the kittens and gently placed them inside the tub.
One More Cry
When the woman thought she had rescued all of the kittens, she heard another cry. They looked at kittens and thought one of them made the noise. They were surprised to discover that the noise was coming from inside the wall.

She put her hand through the wall one last time to look for the kitten. Luckily, she was able to grab ahold of the fourth kitten and take it out safely. Aunt Dotty ran inside the house and was in for a surprise when she saw the woman pulling a kitten out of her open wall.
Alive
Everyone was wondering how these poor, tiny kittens ended up inside the wall. It seemed like a miracle that they all managed to survive and were healthy. Then, the woman realized something.

These kittens must have not eaten for days and are terribly hungry! The woman ran to her kitchen to get some food and water for the kittens. She was sad that these kittens’ mom was missing and they probably missed her.
Playing With Aunt Dotty
Aunt Dotty exclaimed, “Oh you poor things, you’re so scrawny.” She seemed to have a soft spot for cats. She tried taking one kitten in her hand. “Oh! So lightweight,” she said. “Come here, kitty, kitty, kitty.”

It seemed like Aunt Dotty was the happiest to see the kittens and began to play with them the moment they knew the kittens were okay. She could feel the softness of their furs as she petted them. The kittens seemed to enjoy her company, too.
Caught On Camera
The best thing about this whole scene was that it was being filmed by the local journalist. Before their rescue, the woman was nervous about their safety so she called him. He was there to film the whole rescue.

The journalist uploaded the clip online and instantly spread like wildfire. People were astonished and amazed when they saw the clip. Who wouldn’t be? It was a mysterious situation that ended up as a huge miracle.
Happy
The lady was glad now that the mystery was solved and that the kittens were alive and healthy despite the circumstance. She was proud of what she accomplished. The kids were also overjoyed now that they had kittens to play with and take care of.

They couldn’t believe that something like that could happen to them. The woman watched her kids play with the kittens. She hoped the mother cat would one day come back looking for her babies and find them safe and sound.
