It is an age-old trope of father’s playing around with their kids in a way that would make mothers faint and it seems like modern-day dads are no different. And poor Stella Jackson had to find out the hard way!
When she replayed her nanny cam footage after a long day of work, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Her husband was supposed to watch her kids and instead what he did made her heart skip a beat! So, she decided to post the video online and then everything went wrong.
A Good Life
Stella Jackson was a family-oriented woman, whose whole world was her children and her husband. She and her husband, Josh Jackson were high school sweethearts and had gotten married nearly ten years ago.
Five years later, they had their first daughter – Emma and one and a half years later, younger brother, Ben followed. It seemed that the couple were living the dream and everything was as it should be until she decided to install a nanny cam.
Working Mom
Though it was a good life it wasn’t easy by any means. Stella had to find the balance between her work and motherhood, one which she battled with daily but in the end, she always managed to do it all.
Her close friends and family, usually called her superwoman but behind closed doors, she felt the drain and the heartache of leaving her kids at home alone or the pressure of bills, when she took time off.
Child Care
Finding a nanny or a babysitter for any parent is one of the biggest hurdles to getting back on track but with a tight budget, Josh decided to leave his job and take on the role of stay-at-home dad.
This ensured that Stella could work full-time without ever having to worry about the safety of her kids. She knew that no one could love her kids more than there dad but just as the couple was getting into their routine, Josh started acting strange.
Pulling Apart
The couple who were once soulmates grew distant and barely talked. It seemed to Stella that there was an invisible wall between them and she had no idea, how and why it was there. Was it her work life that bothered her husband?
She was desperate to find a solution to this problem but little did she know that she’d soon get exactly that but the answers would raise the hair on the back of her neck and make her husband go viral.
Late At Night
It all escalated when one night Stella woke up and noticed that her husband was missing from their bed. She didn’t think too much of it at first and assumed he was in the bathroom but when she called out her husband’s name she got nothing back.
This wasn’t like Josh, she immediately got up to find out and what she found was him closing the door to their daughter, Emma’s room. In her sleep-haze, it was nearly four in the morning after all she didn’t question him.
Installing A Camera
After that night, Josh just kept getting worse and worse and with her workload more intense than ever, Stella felt like she had to find out what went on when she wasn’t home. She had initially wanted to install the camera because she missed her kids but what she saw was….incredible.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, Stella was just installing the nanny cam and while most wives would have told their husbands about it, something inside Stella’s heart told her to keep it a secret.
Watching The Footage
And that is exactly what she did. Stella hid the nanny cam and set it to record while she was away and as soon as she got time at work, she opened the app to take a sneak peek at what was happening at home.
At first, what she saw was pretty average, her children in front of the tv, relaxing and laughing and just looking at them make Stella realize that she had made the right decision until her husband came inside the frame.
Looked Normal
Josh looked like he was doing laundry in the background, but then suddenly he appeared in the shot. What he did next changed everything. In just a few minutes her husband’s true colours were brought to light.
It showed a side of him which she had never seen. Stella watched as Josh, her husband of 15 years, picked up their daughter and blew raspberries on her belly. Of course, this resulted in a fit of giggles that couldn’t help but make her smile.
Was This A Joke?
But what he did next, left Stella frozen in her tracks. For a second it seemed like the video belonged on T.V! It couldn’t be her husband and kids doing what she saw on the nanny cam! This had to be a joke, right?

She watched her husband from the secret hidden camera and could not believe her eyes. Why would he do this? and why hadn’t he ever told her he did this with her kids? She knew she had to show this video to the rest of the world!
Just Goofing Around
It all started when Katy Perry’s number one smash hit “E.T.,” started blasting out of the TV. With the music turned up to full volume, Emma stood in front of the T.V, waving a pair of brightly coloured pom-poms and dancing.

Her infant sibling bounces up and down in the stroller, also seemingly loving the impromptu dancing and when Stella saw Josh step in, she knew that this fun party was coming to an end but what his husband did next, shocked even her!
Joining In
Stella’s husband is seen walking in the background while carrying a box and as soon as he noticed the kids dancing in the living room, he puts the box on the table and walks into the living room.

Instead of telling them off what Josh does is turns up the volume and starts joining his kids, looking much like a child himself! Stella was shocked to see that Josh who always was the “bad cop” in their parenting style, be so free with the children.
Dance Moves
And it looks like Josh is taking this very seriously! The man started doing The Robot at one point! All Stella could do was watch with a goofy smile, as her husband made a complete fool of himself in front of her children.

She could hear all of them giggling hysterically and her heart was full of love and laughter as well and then, Josh took it up another level, he began lip-syncing the song, “Boy, you’re an alien, your touch so foreign.”!
“Dad Moves”
Funnily enough, Stella didn’t even know that Josh even knew who Katy Perry was, let alone remember the lyrics to her songs! And as the song came to a close, it seemed like Josh was just getting started.

After his fair-share of lip-syncing done and his robot moves exhausted, Josh decided to close his set with a pirouette and despite being quite a large guy, the amazing dad managed to look surprisingly graceful while doing it.
Getting Better
Stella couldn’t believe how much fun her husband was having with their kids, the ease on his face, the smiles of her children. She completely forgot about all her worries about her husband and what he did next only made it even better.

It looked like the dance party with their daughter was coming to a close, so the dad moves moved on to the baby. Josh went and bounced their son in the air, who obviously loved both watching the performance as well as being part of it!
Getting More Into It
Inspired by her father’s energy, their oldest daughter gets back into the dancing and even hands her dad one of the red pom-poms. Josh takes one, happily and twirls it around, but Emma insists that he must dance properly!

Josh certainly didn’t need any more encouragement and just as soon as their daughter made the request, Stella saw him bounce around their living room with more energy than she has ever seen his display in his life. This left the kids roaring with laughter and their father holding both pom-poms and cheerleading around the room!
Wholesome Fun
And finally, with a last big flourish Josh ends his dance set with the best move ever and rather than wasting any more time, he picks up his box and casually walks out the room as if nothing just happened!

All it lasted was a few minutes but for Stella, it was life-changing. Seeing her family, like this made all her struggles worth it and banished any doubt she ever had about her husband.
The Next Step
After that, her house went back to their normal routine but Stella was still buzzing. She knew exactly what her next step would be. She was going to post the video online for all the world to see.

She just had to show everyone, what a warm and caring father her husband was and while she was scared that he would be mad at her for posting his rather embarrassing dance moves, she knew that in the end, it would be all right.

And what a wonderful reception did the video receive! It immediately went viral, with most of those comments admiring what a caring dad, Josh was. Indeed, the heartwarming video had touched many hearts.

When Stella originally set the hidden camera up in her living room, she had only expected to be able to keep an eye on things and perhaps capture a few cute videos of her kids while she was away from them but what she got was something even better.

And looks like, it’s not just Stella who finds the hidden camera footage so endearing, the video has made its rounds on YouTube and was called “Mom Finds out How Dad Watches the Kids.” It has been watched more than two million views and counting.

But like most things on the internet, many people thought the worst from the title. “Am I the only one who thought this was going to be bad?” Jace Bailiff asked. Vidi Kaddi wrote, “From the title, I thought this guy was a child abuser. BOY, WAS I WRONG.”
