The Couple
Rick and Tracey looked to be the perfect pair from the outside. Their social media handles showed a blissful idyllic life full of smooching selfies and hand-holding. It looked like the couple had it all.

She set her sights on an opulent couture atelier design from Galia Lahav. This was the spot where top celebrities like Beyoncé purchased their personal wedding gowns. Not surprisingly, therefore, Tracey’s particular design went for $11,000!
Destination
Many engaged couples strive to secure a wedding venue that is local. Tracey and Rick, on the other hand, had Colombia in mind as the perfect spot. “We’re planning to be married in December in Colombia and of course, I’m beyond pumped,” Tracey went on to describe in her Facebook status.

Rick’s mother, Gina, did not hesitate to voice her criticisms of such a distant wedding venue. Tracey described how Gina could not empathize with the couple’s wishes to tie the knot in a location where people did not speak English!

Issues With Everything
So, just what had Tracey done to aggravate Gina? To begin with, Tracey’s engagement ring gifted to her by Rick! According to the enraged mother-in-law, this piece was just too extravagant.

Tracey then calmly informed Gina that the ring was actually moissanite, meaning that it was much cheaper than a diamond. Tracey’s post quoted Gina’s tirade, saying how irresponsible it was to fork out so much money when there were African children going without food as well as the murderous nature of “blood diamonds”.

Gina’s gripes didn’t end there, however, going from the ring to the house the couple had just purchased. Gina simply could not accept the costs of acquiring this lofty property.

“It was all for not as she managed to scratch her way through the back of the dress and completely destroy the sheer material,” Tracey sadly added. “She burst the side zipper of the dress and got a dirty footprint on the train.” One truly cannot fault Tracey for the incredulity and irritation she experienced following this encounter. Tracey failed to find the words to express her distress at seeing her prized garment ripped to pieces. She had to hold her head in order to muffle the screech she so desperately needed to let out.

Tracey simply wanted to find out what possessed Gina to try her dress on in the first place. “She responded that she was just trying to make sure the dress would fit me; because if the dress fit her, then it absolutely fit me too,” Tracey explained.

In Tracey’s mind, the least that Gina could do was pay for the fixing of the dress. Sadly, even this humble request was too optimistic considering Gina’s reluctance to do right by the couple. What Gina decided to do next is beyond imagination.

A section of the train is ripped.” Tracey was unable to guess just how much the repairs would cost without the attention of a seamstress. Gina could have just apologized for what she did – not so. She would add fuel to the flames by reproaching Tracey for having spent so much money on the dress in the first place! “In the meantime, in lieu of an apology, she’s lecturing me on spending so much money on a wedding dress,” she recalled.
