We scoured the internet and found all the notable actors and actresses who have sweated, stressed and swore their way into #bodygoals territory. Most of these Before And After pictures will have you drooling with envy and inspiration. Thankfully though, all the people featured on our list were gracious enough to let us in on their workout secrets, or well, at least their trainers did!

AMERICA FERRERA: CLEAN EATING

Much like her most known character of Ugly Betty actress America Ferrera underwent a transformation that shocked fans. Ferrera’s weight has fluctuated throughout her acting career after wasting her time on fad diets which gave her mixed results, however after fully committing to a healthy lifestyle a transformation can definitely be seen over the last few years.

Ferrera credits her weight loss to healthy methods, instead of obsessing over numbers on a scale the actress opted for pushing herself in high-intensity aerobic workouts and participating in the occasional triathlon. Along with her intense workouts, the actress also has a few diet secrets that she swears by, which includes never skipping breakfast and filling up on lean proteins.

BRITNEY SPEARS: LOW-CARB DIET & DANCING

Britney Spears is one singing sensation who has seen the very peak of fame and the very rock bottom of personal fall-out as well. She has gone through many controversies over her career and seen much success as well. Her life has certainly been a roller coaster ride! Of course, emotional fluctuations often accompany weight fluctuations, and Spears was not exempt from this.

It was during a mental breakdown that she had her greatest weight gain, and only when she took control of her life was she able to emerge slimmer, healthier, and with better mental strength. She weighs 120 pounds today and accomplished her weight loss through proper low-carbohydrate dieting and also dancing. Doing a fun exercise like dancing is a great way to burn calories without even realizing it! Spears was to hold an art exhibition in 2020!

MELISSA MCCARTHY – BALANCED DIET AND EXERCISE

Melissa McCarthy has been a victim of body-shaming. She pointed out the unequal treatment between men and women with regard to their weight statistics. But she shuns away from the ridicules about her weight loss regimen by stating that she’s not doing anything about it.

On her role on Gilmore Girls, she attempted to have a liquid-diet but under the supervision of her doctor. It made her lose 70 pounds in less than five months. But the result didn’t make her want to do it again after. However, the actress made an investment to produce her own clothing line focused on plus-size clothing for women. The actress doesn’t go big when it comes to working out, but she manages to shape up doing cardio and strength training at her own pace.

ADELE – CROSS TRAINING AND STRICT DIET

Over the last couple of days, the world has been left stunned by the surprise and rather sudden weight loss of singer, Adele. The internet mostly is full of torn opinions, with some congratulating Adele on her fitness journey while others feeling “cheated” by her drastic weight loss.

The singer herself has kept hush on the matter but her trainer has come forward, expressing his confusion over the negativity surrounding Adele’s weight loss. He said, “Sadly, social media is too commonly used as a vehicle to spread armchair negativity without any consideration or responsibility for the personal impact on an individual.” We don’t have complete details as to how Adele lost the weight but it was revealed in 2019 that Adele was working out three times a week, with 60-minute sessions which included cardio, circuit training, and Pilates.

JESSICA SIMPSON – STRENGTH TRAINING AND LOW-CARB DIET

Jessica Simpson flaunted her slimmer figure as she invited her fans and followers to watch her interview about her autobiography the Open Book. On March 9th, on her Instagram account, she showed off her stunning 100-pound weight loss wearing her bold fashion choice of laced sleeves tops and black tight pants.

She has been actively losing her post-baby weight with the help of her trainer Harley Pasternak. Over the course of six months, Jessica managed to get back into shape by simply following the five daily habits given by her trainer, which helped her embrace positivity and worthwhile living. This has also become her inspiration for her boldness and openness to share her life stories. The birth of her book was mostly from her coming out of the dark periods and struggles. Through her book, Jessica wants to spread inspiration to her readers, and a role model to children.

KELLY OSBOURNE: DIET & DANCING

Kelly Osbourne is no stranger to fame thanks to being the daughter of heavy metal musician Ozzy Osbourne. Kelly has come to prominence and it is a result of the 2002 show The Osbournes. After the show, she made the celebrity headlines but for all the wrong reasons. Among her scandalous stories, she also gained attention for her problem of weight control. Kelly eventually grew sick of all of the criticism over her weight and decided to take care of it.

Of course, Kelly could afford any procedure she would like to help her trim off excess fat the lazy way, but she didn’t opt for that. Instead, she chose fun and exciting way to shed the fat – through dancing! Kelly participated in Dancing With the Stars and lost fifty pounds of excess weight. Following a strict diet helped her get into shape.

Comedian and actor Seth Rogen found immense popularity after he acted in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. He carried on being cast in successful comedy films. He did a great job of portraying the chubby funny guys in comedies. However, when he had a chance to play a lead role in The Green Hornet, he made up his mind that it was about time that he lost the chubby appearance.

He wound up playing the part really well and it was a huge success. Not only did he place effort in his lead role acting but also into shedding a couple of pounds for the shooting of the film. He was able to reach his weight loss goals with a daily workout and a good diet. He lost thirty pounds and has never looked better! Seth Rogen is no longer going to be seen as the fat funny guy!

In the world of reality TV, it’s hard to find a figure more famous and influential than Kim Kardashian. She is among the top dogs in reality TV. She has gained attention for everything from her wardrobe choice and her hair to her weight loss and weight gain, and everything in between. Keeping Up the Kardashians is currently in its thirteenth season and Kim happens to be the highest-paid TV personality, seeing earnings of $53 million each year!

Kim has long been an icon for curvy women, and men have ogled over her curves and her large rear. However, she hasn’t always had this picture-perfect figure. In 2015, Kim tipped the scales at 200 pounds. By taking up a strict diet and starting to work out daily, she managed to lose every extra pound of fat and score her enviable physique once again!

PINK: DIET & EXERCISE

Like most women over the course of pregnancy, Pink gained a considerable number of pounds. After the delivery of her baby, it was clear to Pink that she would have to do something about all of the weight she had piled on over the nine months. She had gained about 55 pounds. Aside from her acting earnings, Chrissy engaged herself in publishing her first book. It’s a memoir entitled This Is Me: Loving the Person You Are Today which is now a New York Times bestseller.

KHLOE KARDASHIAN: INTENSE WORKOUT AND DAIRY-FREE PRODUCTS

 The Kardashians are a family known for their good looks and media influence, however, one member of the clan has shown that their good looks aren’t all in their genes and that sometimes you have to work for it. To match her family’s appearance of being good looking Khloe Kardashian turned to her nutritionist for help who placed her on a composite diet plan alongside ditching dairy products with a combined regime of mixed sports, workout sessions, and exercises.

Khloe Kardashian still appears in the reality TV series Keeping Up With The Kardashians with her family alongside her business entrepreneurs such as her book Kardashian Konfidential. As of recent the reality TV star has been taking time to raise her daughter True with the help of her mom and sisters.

 Known for being a frequent model of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues losing her postnatal weight after giving birth to her first child with husband and singer John Legend was a priority for Chrissy Teigen and her career. The model didn’t want to undergo any extreme methods of losing her baby weight, instead choosing to go with natural and simple ways that anyone could follow.

Chrissy enlisted the help of a personal trainer who put together an effective workout and diet which can be seen to have helped her shed some weight. Chrissy has recently taken a step back from modelling choosing to spend time with her growing family and becoming a TV personality on shows such as Lip Sync Battle.

Lena Dunham is a well-known actress who is famous for acting in Girls, an HBO series. After appearing so overweight and out of shape, fans were very surprised to see her trim and fit! When she took on the challenge of getting into shape, she employed the help of Tracy Anderson, an experienced celebrity personal trainer. Anderon worked his magic and got Dunham torching calories and fat in no time. Her supporters actually weren’t that happy about her weight loss and actually criticized her for it. However, she is healthier as a result and that is the most important thing! Fortunately, Dunham doesn’t let the critics eat into her mind and she continues to improve on herself ever since.

 At the peak of Kathleen Turner’s acting career and fame, she received the shocking diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis which limited her mobility. The certified diva was given medication that led to weight gain causing the actress to lose out on some of her roles. The struggles Turner was facing led to a struggle with alcohol which eventually caused the actress to be checked into rehab.

Determined to get her health back on track, Turner decided to make changes in both her weight and alcohol habits. The actress started to work out more frequently starting activities such as Pilates as a way to become more flexible and not let her illness limit her. Turner also cut out alcohol from her diet opting for clean eating options such as protein. The actress has no intention to slim back down to her figure at the start of her career but is certainly looking a lot healthier.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA: MYSTERIOUS WEIGHT LOSS

 Pop diva Christina Aguilera has never been one to shy away from showing off her figure, however, the songstress ran into difficulties with her weight after giving birth to her second child. Reaching almost 200 pounds the singer’s prenatal weight loss journey appeared to be having slow progress. Aguilera took fans away with her transformation when appearing on the show The Voice.

Many were quick to question how the singer lost her weight so quickly. Aguilera hasn’t confirmed rumours of liposuction or surgery, instead hinting that it was a combination of exercise and diet that helped with the transformation. The singer spoke out about the importance of never missing breakfast, having her meals delivered to her and de-stressing her lifestyle to help shift some of her baby weight.

KIRSTIE ALLEY: PORTION CONTROL AND WORKOUT

The 60-something Star Trek Star is used to being in the spotlight for her success as an actress. However, after going through the menopause Alley reached almost 228 pounds and started to miss out on roles which led to her developing a habit of emotional eating. The actress decided to take a committed approach to her fluctuating weight to adopt a healthy lifestyle that has helped her to shed 50 pounds so far.

Kirstie Alley started the Jenny Craig program where she developed the skills of healthy eating and exercising. The actress works out three times a week, choosing to follow programs like dance classes or yoga, she also sticks to not eating after 7 p.m. So far the actress has maintained her new weight successfully and appears to be healthy.

DAWN FRENCH: CALORIE COUNTING AND LONG WALKS

 Dawn French is the comedic actress behind hit TV shows like French and Saunders and The Vicar of Dibley which she received seven BAFTA nominations for. The actress never took her body image too seriously, content with her lifestyle and weight. However, when French was diagnosed with cancer that needed a laparoscopic hysterectomy which gave the actress a new outlook on her health.

Dawn French decided to take matters into her own hands to lose some of her extra weight. French decided against plastic surgery instead of wanting to become healthy through a natural method. The actress lost an amazing ninety-eight pounds by following a routine of long walks and intensive calorie counting which the actress still follows in order to keep herself healthy.

FOREST WHITAKER: NEW DIET

 The Last King of Scotland actor, Forest Whitaker has become a household name for his acting. It isn’t uncommon for actors to have to lose and gain weight for their roles with Forest Whitaker being no exception after gaining 70 lbs in preparation for his role in the film before getting serious about his diet and exercising after filming had finished. The 48-year-old actor opted for trying new methods that seem to be very effective.

Whitaker credits a vegetarian diet which he announced after appearing in an advertisement for animal rights group PETA. The diet boasts the ability to help the actor shed some weight along with preventing him from acquiring health issues such as diabetes. Alongside his new diet, Whitaker also follows an exercise routine of hiking and martial arts.

PEREZ HILTON: RIGOROUS TRAINING

 With his successful blog and columns, Perez Hilton is an endless source of gossip that has been dubbed as the ‘Queen of all media’ However, many people don’t realize that behind all the gossip columns and media campaigns Perez Hilton has been working hard on his appearance to shed some of his weight since 2008.

The blogger credits intense workouts and clean eating for his weight loss, opting to work out seven days a week. His training includes a range of activities with gym Monday to Thursday and pilates and yoga on the weekends. Alongside his vigorous training, Hilton also makes sure that he keeps his diet clean having his meals planned and delivered to him by nutritionists to ensure that they include the right balances of food and portion sizes has been a major factor in his weight loss.

RENÉE ZELLWEGER: SMALLER PORTIONS

 As part of her iconic role in the Bridget Jones Diary actress Renée Zellweger needed to prepare for her role by gaining an additional twenty-eight pounds, however, once her role in the movie was finished the actress decided that she would prefer to go back to her original weight.

Renée admitted that this was a hard process after having the weight as part of her life for such a long period however she was determined. She started by cutting down her food portions and following a balanced diet after hiring a nutritionist who put together an effective plan for her to follow.

ZACH GALIFIANAKIS: DIET AND EXERCISE

 The comedic actor Zach Galifianakis appearances in films such as The Hangover and Due Date are perhaps why they are able to make audiences laugh out loud so much. However, the actor squashed his ‘funny fat guy’ persona making fans do a double-take after starting a diet and regular exercise program to shed some of his weight.

When asked about how he has managed to shed some much weight the actor was quick to credit his changed lifestyle choices like cutting out all alcohol and fast food instead of opting for healthier options like whole grains. The actor has also paired his diet changes with an intense workout regime, however, fans have been quick to question if he had turned to surgery, but the star was quick to deny, claiming that his new lifestyle was just very effective.
