1. Antler Attack

Trail cams have become very popular and are used primarily by hunters but by nature lovers too. If you want to track an animal or just see what comes by at night then set up a trail cam that snaps photos whenever it detects movement.

Most of the time you won’t catch anything too interest, but every once in a while you will capture something so crazy it will blow you away. Here are the rare instances when these trail cams caught something that was truly unbelievable. Some are scary, some are amazing and some are hilarious. Come check out some truly amazing real-life photos that were captured by trail cams.

2. BARREL HEAD

This title is aptly named because there is a deer with a barrel stuck to its head. I don’t know if the deer got into a fight with the barrel or if he thought it was full of delicious food that he wanted to take home.

The more we look at this picture, the most we can’t figure it out. Our first question, who wins? Was it the barrel or the deer? Our guess is its the picture whoever captured this image and thus supplied us with endless entertainment.

3. BUCK WITH A HAT

Being a young buck is harder than it seems. When something gets stuck in your horns it’s almost impossible to get it off with your hooves. That is the problem that this poor guy is currently facing as he has a tumbleweed stuck on his horns.
Hopefully, he can find a deer friend that can bite the tumbleweed off of his head for him or at least a strong gust of wind that can rid of this quite avant-garde accessory! Never knew we would get the chance to see such a stylish deer!

4. WATCH OUT! THE BEAR IS RUNNING AT US!

This picture freaks us out! It really looks this bear is charging straight at us- Thankfully he isn’t and the cuddly bear is probably more curious than anything. We wonder what he actually thought about the strange “box” in the woods- aka the camera.

Many people have noted that beer and deer are some of the most interactive animals with cameras and you will find plenty of both in our list.  In most pictures, Either one of them is intimidated, curious or ready to kill the trail cam!

5. SCARY DEER

We know deer are technically harmless, but this many deer is truly spooky. Also, why are they all looking directly into the camera? Do they know it’s there? Or are these deer possessed?

This shot looks move like a still from the latest horror film but it might have something to do with the night mode on the camera plus the dry twigs, eerie look in the eyes of the deer and the number of deer doesn’t help!

6. OTTER EATING A GATOR

Now, we are getting to the nitty-gritty part of our list. This trail-cam caught a real-life hunt featuring a decisive otter and a very unfortunate baby alligator. We wonder where the poor baby’s mom?

Wherever she may be, our guess is that she is pretty upset! Fun Fact: Otters are pretty fast and sneaky and usually tend to prey on bigger animals younglings! How cool that they caught this otter and its baby gator kill on camera.

7. OWL STRIKE

Here is a picture which was taken seconds before a deer is terrified of owls for the rest of its life. Does this owl really think it’s going to pick up this entire deer and eat it for dinner? We don’t think so, buddy.
We would start by trying to eat something a little bit smaller, you know something that can actually fit into that small owl mouth. Maybe this owl was going to try and snag something off the ground right when the deer was running by? If so, that would be some seriously bad timing.

8. EAGLE FIGHT

This picture is absolutely unbelievable. Somehow this trail cam perfectly captured two eagles mid-battle. What are they fighting over? We have no idea, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime photo.

How often do you get to see a bald eagle in a fight with another eagle? The lucky owner of this trail-cam not only caught this stunning shot but we are sure, also made a penny or two on it!

9. FLYING SQUIRREL ATTACK

This trail cam somehow caught a squirrel gliding over a deer. I don’t know if the flying squirrel is attacking this buck or if he’s simply flying by but this is a photo that was taken at the perfect time.

Flying squirrels are some of the coolest animals on the planet. I really can’t get enough of this picture.

10. RACCOON SELFIE

This raccoon decided to snap a pic with the two majestic bucks that he happened to come across. After he took this photo he texted it to his raccoon friends and they all had a good laugh.

Who knows how many likes this raccoon got on his Instagram profile for this pic but I’m guessing he has a major social media influence if he’s able to produce content like this.

11. RACCOON AND FOX

Here is a fox that looks like it is getting ready for a showdown with a raccoon. I hope the raccoon doesn’t think he hopped in a taxi because that car doesn’t look like it’s about to go anywhere.

If the raccoon is relying on the car to get out of there then it is unlucky.

12. RACCOON PARTY!

Here are a bunch of raccoons going nuts eating some food that I’m sure was not meant for them. Two raccoons are passed out, one is sitting on its butt and they are all pigging out. This must be a major score for all these raccoons and they seem to be celebrating by eating the night away.

13. SUPER CUTE FOX PUPPIES

You gotta love a bunch of adorable little fox puppies feeding on their mom. Foxes are so cute when they’re grown up, but when you see them as puppies their cuteness is almost unbearable.

The mother looks so happy and they really couldn’t pick a better place to get fed than right in front of this trail cam. What an awesome shot and probably one that will be very hard to ever take again.

14. CAT ON A BUFFALO

Here is a cat that is hitching a ride on top of a buffalo. I had no idea cats would do this, but it makes perfect sense. I’m sure the buffalo doesn’t even notice that someone is hitching a ride on his giant butt.

Who knew that buffalos were the public transportation of the animal world?

15. BLOODY ANTLERS

In this photo, you see a wild deer with blood dripping down from its antlers. Although, the deer itself seems like it’s just fine… Could it be that the blood was from another animal? This is a pretty crazy shot if the deer in fact was defending itself from a predator and ended up winning.

16. COYOTE DEER STANDOFF

Here is a coyote trying to intimidate two deer. The deer don’t look all that scared but that coyote’s snarl is nothing to laugh at. I wonder if the deer are in the process of chasing the coyote off or if maybe the coyote has some friends that will join in on this fight. Either way, it is an incredible photo.

17. BROKEN CAMERA

This person had a broken trail cam. There was a hole in the center of it and it looked like someone shot it with a gun. When the guy looked at the pictures on his trail cam this was the last photo that was taken. I think this might have been a woodpecker or maybe he’s now known as a camera picker.

18. MUDDY TIGER

This tiger clearly has just taken a mud bath to cool off in this hot weather. I bet he feels pretty refreshed after taking this dip, but once that mud dries he will probably have a hard time trying to walk around. He basically has made a giant mud cast across half of his body. I think he will be regretting that decision in about ten minutes.

19. RACCOON RIDING A WARTHOG

Here is a raccoon taking a much-needed break by hitching a ride on a friendly Warthog. This giant swine doesn’t seem to mind too much and it looks like they might just be on the way to pick up the raccoon’s friend as well. I wonder where they’re all headed. Regardless it looks like they’re having a good time.

20. GIANT DEER BUFFETT

Wow, look at all these deer enjoying eating family-style right in the middle of the woods. It looks like this is some sort of deer restaurant that the trail cam happened to be set up in front of. I bet these deer are having a great time hanging out but it looks pretty late at night. I’m sure the last call is coming up any time now.

21. RACCOON HAS SOME MOVES

This Raccoon was spotted on this trail cam as it narrowly escapes the jaws of a hungry coyote. Talk about evasive maneuvers.

22. BATTLE ROYAL

A raccoon and a deer battle it out under an automatic feeder recently and it was awesome. These feeders can bring the worst out of animals and this shows just that.

23. SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST

This mountain lion proves the oldest thing in the wilderness is the survival of the fittest. This poor dear didn’t stand a chance.

24. CREEPY CLOWN

OK, why? This weirdo dressed up as a clown a d went around in the woods creeping everyone out. Stop it, you creepy clowns.

25. POOR BUNNY RABBIT

This unsuspecting bunny rabbit is about to have a terrible surprise when this mountain lion strikes. I bet the bunny has no idea what is about to go down.

26. DID WE CATCH THESE DEER MAKING OUT?

This is the question, are these deer cleaning each other or did we catch them in the art of seduction? I hope it is the latter.

27. BIRD BATTLE

These two birds of prey are fighting over this sweet tree limb, which is obviously the cool place to hang.

28. BOAR MUNCH

Here is a boar that is currently taking a raccoon out. I’m guessing the raccoon did something to make this boar mad, although I’m guessing it wasn’t much. Boars are known for being nasty to us so it would make sense that it would be nasty to raccoons as well. The poor raccoon seems to be a bit embarrassed to be caught on camera getting messed up by this boar.

29. STANDING WOLVERINE

I think this is a wolverine. This skunk ape is standing on its back two legs which makes it hard to identify.

30. SANTA CRUNCH

I know one bear who is definitely making the naughty list this year. Santa is definitely not going to get this guy any presents after ruining his awesome hat like that.

31. GIANT MOOSE COMING THROUGH

This moose doesn’t look normal. In fact, I think this is some kind of a demon moose. Watch out for the demon moose!

32. MAKING IT RAIN

This raccoon is hooking his friends up heavy with all the seeds out of this bird feeder. Who knows how he got up there, that raccoon must have some serious hops. His friends are super stoked, I just want to know how he plans on getting back down.

33. CRAZY DEER

What is happening with the deer in this photo? Is it being grabbed by a ghost? I have no idea what would cause a deer to move like this but it looks crazy.

34. HAUNT OF THE FLYING SQUIRREL

This flying squirrel is here and ready to take this deer down. You never mess with a flying squirrel’s pile of apples, everyone knows that. This deer was acting too cool for school and now that he is being chased down by a flying squirrel he knows that he has to get out of there.

35. SCARY CAT

This does not look like a house cat that’s going out for a nice night walk. I definitely do not want to run into a cat that looks like this in the dark. If I found this on a trail cam I don’t think I’d ever go outside again.

36. PORCUPINE PUNCHOUT

Here are two porcupines who decided to have a brawl right in front of the camera. It looks like they’re in the midst of a pay-per-view heavyweight bought. Who’s going to win this fight? I have no idea, but neither appears to be showing any sign of backing down.

37. DEER PARTY

Now these are two deer who are having a great night. These two could not have picked a better place to have some fun. Pretty soon there will probably be some fawns running around.

38. TASTING THE CAMERA

This deer has decided to stop and give the camera a taste. Let’s hope this deer doesn’t develop a taste for trail cams because that is a pretty expensive habit.

39. BUCK WILD

Now, these two are getting buck wild right on a trail cam. It’s not too often that you see two bucks fight and I’m sure they’re fighting over a doe somewhere off camera. How cool would this fight be to watch in person?

40. BUCK STANDING TALL

This buck is fighting against some sort of hunting dog or cat-like creature. You can see the bites on the back of the buck’s legs. But now that the buck is facing this thing it looks to be a bit more apprehensive.

41. GIRL AMONGST THE DEER

What is going on in this picture? I’m seriously spooked by what is taking place here. Is the girl lost? Does she live with the deer? What is happening?

42. STANDING DEER

Here is a deer that is standing tall. Is this what deer do when no one is watching? I had no idea they knew how to walk around on two legs. Maybe this deer is just giving the walking like a human thing a try. All this deer needs now is a trenchcoat and a fake mustache and it’s ready to blend in with us humans.

43. DEER TAUNT

Here is a deer taunting the camera by sticking its tongue out. It’s almost as if this deer is saying “you can’t catch me!” If the person who owns this trail cam is a hunter then this deer might want to be a bit more careful with who she decides to mock.

44. COYOTE HOWL

Whoever set this trail cam up must have put it right in front of a great view of the moon. These coyotes are letting their voices be heard as they howl as loud as they can into the night sky. Somehow the picture got all three coyotes in frame mid-howl. Coyotes usually run in packs so catching three at once really isn’t all that surprising.

45. HIDDEN CAT

This predator cat is in the perfect spot to ambush a deer. Do you think the cat caught some dinner here? It would have to work hard and smart, but I bet it could do it.

46. BEAR GIVING HER CUB A LIFT

Here is a bear pulling up its cub up to help it get a look or bite of something. I had no idea bears were able to do this I mean lifting a cub up with its paws has got to be a pretty difficult job. Somehow these bears are pulling it off seamlessly, although I don’t know what this mama bear is helping her child do. Maybe eat some honey?

47. WOLF WATCH

Wait, are we looking at wolves or are the wolves looking at us? These wolves are taking a long look at this mysterious camera that just popped up. I don’t think they like the camera which is making me a bit nervous.

48. BEAR WITH A MOUTHFUL OF SALMON

Bears are fantastic at fishing and this bear is living proof of that fact. He has a gigantic salmon in his mouth that was surely trying to travel upstream to lay eggs. Unfortunately, the salmon didn’t make it, but it’s good for this bear as it needs to eat a lot every day in order to survive.

49. DEER STACK

Here are a bunch of deer stacking on top of each other. This looks like there might be one too many deer in this picture. One of them needs to take a step back and wait for their turn. When you look at this picture you begin to understand why we have so many deer in our country. They obviously mate like crazy.

50. COYOTE VS CAT

Here is a coyote that looks like it’s defending its ground against a big predatory cat. I don’t know who would win this battle, but it’s absolutely amazing that all this happened right on camera.
