A stroke is a cerebrovascular accident of our body. It occurs when any single part of our brain loses its blood supply. The part of our body which is controlled by the brain cells stops working. Strokes can lead to death or permanent disability. So, we all need to be concerned to avoid this critical situation of our health.

The blockage of an artery is the most common cause of a stroke. This blockage can occur for several reasons. But the major causes are our unhealthy lifestyle along with an unbalanced diet. If we consume an excessive amount of cholesterol, it can create a clot in our blood vessels. Some other risk factors are responsible for narrowing blood vessels. These risk factors are including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and smoking.

The symptoms of a stroke mainly depend on the area of the brain affected by a lack of oxygen. But all kinds of strokes have some common symptoms like numbness, weakness, tingling, and vision loss.  These symptoms are relating to impairment of nerve function. You will realize these symptoms suddenly and most of the time these signs are found on one side of the body.

Therefore, we all have to be careful to minimize the risk of stroke that might fall our lives into threatening. For this reason, we have to perform the regular physical exercise to burn extra cholesterol in our bodies. We also have to avoid intaking harmful cholesterol-rich foods.
