The Little Mermaid Gave Up Her Voice For A Man
Ariel has gained a reputation as one of the most favourite Disney princesses due to naïvety and curiosity. However, people may really want to reconsider their options as she’s not really the best role model. But then again, most of the Disney princesses make really questionable choices.

In the movie, Ariel falls in love with this Prince that she absolutely has 0 information on. In hopes of getting to see him, she gives up her voice in exchange for legs. In the original story, she did get legs but every time she took a step, she would be in extreme pain. Luckily, the movie toned it down and made it more kid-friendly. Sadly, it still sends a message that getting someone to love you means sacrificing a part of who you are.
