A Frozen Lake
Roopkund Lake, often encased in ice due to the freezing temperatures at its high altitude, presents a unique and eerie natural phenomenon. Situated 16,500 feet above sea level in the Indian Himalayas, this small lake, measuring just about 135 feet in diameter, remains frozen for most of the year.
