From the serene landscapes of Wisconsin during her early years, Brandi Mueller found herself drawn inexorably towards two defining passions: the vast expanse of the ocean and the intricate art of photography. Her love for the sea was so pronounced that she often persuaded her family to embark on oceanic holidays. Reminiscing about those days, she mentioned, “By 15, I was diving into the depths of New Zealand’s waters as an exchange student, an experience that forever changed me.”
Throughout her life as a dedicated marine explorer, there was an ever-present aspiration to uncover something monumental, an artifact or discovery that would etch her name in the annals of history. The universe often works in mysterious ways, and for her, the monumental moment was not as distant as she might have imagined. It began unassumingly, with a mere silhouette of an aircraft nestled on the ocean’s bed, beckoning her curiosity.
