Since he was a child, Tommy was aware of his surroundings, particularly the comings and goings of his parents. Recently, however, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong when he noticed the void that his father’s absence was leaving in his little family. Each skipped dinner fed his worry about the uncertainty that was constantly growing inside him. It was a nagging fear, a feeling that something might be seriously wrong, a secret lurking just below the surface.
