Despite the negative headlines around the world, there are still incredible people making incredible things for their communities. Every day, police officers, doctors, firefighters and bystanders become heroes by helping animals in need.
Every day thousands of dogs and cats are abandoned on the streets or in shelters in a pandemic to be ashamed of. Luckily there are Samaritans who will do anything to help these animals – whether sick, endangered, or abandoned.
Exposed and scared
Tammy Graves was the founder of a charity, the Haley Graves Foundation, for animals. She knew well the signs that indicated it was an abandoned dog. When she visited the animal shelter in North Carolina,
she found this cute black dog hiding in a corner of his cage. His family had abandoned him, a traumatic experience for an animal. Tammy couldn’t leave him because he would be put down at the shelter soon. He soon became an online sensation as he found his home with his own family.

Saved in a short time
Young Emmy was only 13 years old, but she was already working as an animal rights activist. Every day she would visit the animal shelters in her area until one cute dog caught her eye. His name was Fox, an older dog who had been at the shelter for a long time.
With older dogs, there is a high risk of being put to sleep in an animal shelter, Emmy was aware of that. She visited Fox every day until one day he wore a scarf around his neck. This meant that he had found an adoptive family and he was allowed to spend the rest of his life there.

Alone in the concrete river
This poor German shepherd was stuck in the Los Angeles concrete river with no way out. Tired and hungry, he hoped someone was willing to climb down to save him. A member of the Hope for Paws Animal Rescue Organization rounded up a group to rescue the dog.
Latu “Hope for Paws”, they called the animal Biggie. They assumed he had been living on the streets for the last five years. Thankfully, the team managed to free the dog and take it to the local vet. He is now awaiting adoption!

This cute cat decided to look around and fell into a hole with no way out. Unfortunately, this was a channel through which the faint cries for help could be heard.
Luckily, a friendly fireman decided to climb down the hole to save the cat. Everything went well again. The little animal will definitely remember this fall!

Animal control saves the day
This pit mix was dumped on the side of the street in Los Angeles. This road is notorious for being besieged time and time again with abandoned animals. A passer-by who observed the situation immediately called the local animal rescue service.
“Hope for Paws”, who are best known for their animal rescue videos on YouTube, were there immediately and took the frightened dog away. Today he is a happy dog named Lucky who has already been adopted. We wish him a life of happiness!

A selfless act

Frightened puppies in the tar
Animal Aid Unlimited rescue group in India received a call about three little puppies getting stuck in a tar lake. Time was of the essence and shortly after the call, a number of volunteers rushed to the scene to free the animals. One of the puppies had its head stuck in the tar making it difficult to breathe. Fortunately, the rescuers came in time.
Once the three puppies were freed, the group took them to the vet to be cleaned and examined. The organization even found her mother and was able to bring her back together. Today the four dogs are already adopted.

Baby dolphins in distress
On a cold autumn morning, this young man was walking along the beach when he suddenly spotted a small dolphin that had landed in the shallow water. The waves hit him and he couldn’t do it alone anymore
to swim against the current into the wide sea. The young man didn’t think twice, grabbed the little dolphin and helped him into deeper water. Those are real heroic deeds, you have to give him that.

Beyond the goal
We love firefighters who simply do more than is asked of them. A fire turned out well for this cat because a fireman came and rescued her and gave her additional oxygen food,

When a lamb was in distress after being swept down a river, these two young men were in the right place at the right time. Despite the unbelievable cold, the two young men fought their way to it

Condemned to death
This tragic story is almost too tragic. This little dog was abandoned on the streets, but that’s not all. A witness reported that a homeless man cut off the dog’s foot and threw it into the LA Concrete River.
The witness immediately contacted Hope for Paws and they managed to save the animal in time. At a clinic, they amputated the remaining leg and helped the animal recover. In the end, the animal was adopted and everything had a happy ending.

A goose in distress
When it comes to geese, most people don’t have a good experience. Geese are brave and like to attack people. Who hasn’t been chased by a goose or bitten in the calf? But this firefighter didn’t care.

Trembling, this cat hangs on its rescuer and the expression on its face describes exactly what it has just experienced. This cat was rescued from a burning house and looks lucky to have survived at all.
We admire the fire department for making sure to save every living thing that was in the house. A life counts, even if it is small. Many pets were also saved by the Fire department everyday. And who is more grateful than this little cat?
