Every day thousands of dogs and cats are abandoned on the streets or in shelters in a pandemic to be ashamed of. Luckily there are Samaritans who will do anything to help these animals – whether sick, endangered, or abandoned.

Exposed and scared

Tammy Graves was the founder of a charity, the Haley Graves Foundation, for animals. She knew well the signs that indicated it was an abandoned dog. When she visited the animal shelter in North Carolina,
