Decrease personal contact

Traditionally, the holiday season is a time when you spend more time with friends and family than usual. This could be going on vacation, hosting guests, or going to seasonal festivities. However, because of COVID-19, you might want to reconsider going places or getting close to people you don’t live with.

Regular hand washing

One of the simplest methods to remain healthy while traveling is to wash your hands frequently. Clinical associate professor of medicine and expert in infectious diseases at NYU Langone Health in New York City, Scott A. Weisenberg, M.D. said, “Wash your hands with soap and hot water before meals and after using a toilet, exactly as you would at home.”

Keep your vaccinations current

For individuals aged 6 months and older, new omicron-specific boosters are now offered. Young children who have finished their primary Moderna vaccination series can receive an updated Moderna booster two months after finishing their first series.
