Any outbreak can fizzle out through the process of herd immunity. It can be happened either through vaccination or prior infection. So, everyone in society is wondering how to reach herd immunity to return to our “normal” lives. By reaching herd immunity we may lead our life as before the pandemic. It is thought that vaccination from 5- to 11-year-olds will certainly help us to be closer to this tipping point.

The epidemiologist Katelyn Jetelina said about this situation, “Any progress in building our immunity wall is a welcome one, especially going into the winter months when coronaviruses typically thrive.”

But you need to remember that even though the vaccination rate is higher in the United States, the rest of the world cannot follow the same rate. A medical officer on the CDC, Dr. Jefferson Jones said, “Thinking that we will be able to achieve some kind of threshold where there will be no more transmission of infections may not be possible.”
