People in the United States who are fully vaccinated will be eligible for a booster dose. It is suggested to get the third dose at least after 8 months of the second dose. Those who are vaccinated with Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna-NIAID can receive booster doses as early as possible. Health expert suggests that who have received one-dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine also should receive an additional dose. However, the company’s two-dose clinical trial result is yet to publish.

Now the Delta variant of coronavirus is a major concern worldwide. In the United States, the Delta variant of the coronavirus is also driving a surge. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky and other health leaders shared a statement. They said, “The available data makes very clear that protection against SARS-CoV-2 infection begins to decrease over time following the initial doses of vaccination, and in association with the dominance of the delta variant, we are starting to see evidence of reduced protection against mild and moderate disease.”
