In April of 2020, a huge sinkhole opened up in Rome, Italy in front of the ancient and historic Pantheon. Although it was quite a sight to behold, what was more amazing was what was revealed underneath the ground.

What the archaeology team discovered not only gives us a better look into Rome’s intricate past but also makes us wonder what other amazing discoveries are hidden beneath the Earth that’s waiting to be discovered.
