In a new interview, the pop star Billie Eilish talked about the abuse of power in and out of the entertainment industry.
She has also spoken about a variety of topics, including the growth in her songwriting and the power and influence that comes with being famous.
Billie Eilish discussed her new single, ‘Your Power’. She mentioned it as “an open letter to people who take advantage – mostly men”. Eilish said, “I would like people to listen to me.”
She also said. “And not just try to figure out who I’m talking about, because it’s not about that. It’s really not at all about one person. You might think, ‘It’s because she’s in the music industry.”
Then Billie continued, “I don’t know one girl or woman who hasn’t had a weird experience, or a really bad experience. And men, too – young boys are taken advantage of constantly.”
The pop star said, “I’ve grown so much and gotten so much better in my voice, it’s crazy to think about,” she said, proud of her growth. “I think change is one of the best gifts in the world.”
Eilish wrote on Instagram, “MY NEW ALBUM ‘Happier Than Ever’ OUT JULY 30TH! this is my favorite thing i’ve ever created and i am so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it.”
