Martin Luther King’s daughter Bernice King appreciated Justin Bieber for his support of the King Center through Be Love campaign.
Bieber’s new record was released on March 19. This album includes an ‘MLK Interlude’ and it opens with a quote from the late activist Martin Luther King. Justin Bieber used MLK samples on his new album ‘Justice’. His new track opens with a recognizable MLK quote, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”.
Before the album landed on streaming services, Bieber announced a campaign to raise awareness for social justice. The organization he’d be supporting are including Anti Recidivism Coalition, Alexandria House, the Compton Pledge, Baby2Baby, the Equal Justice Initiative, LIFT, Self Help Graphics, and Art, This Is About Humanity, the Poor People’s Campaign, and the King Center.
The pop star said, “In honor of #Justice I’m supporting organizations that embody what justice looks like in action.”
Martin Luther King’s daughter and the King Center’s CEO Bernice King responded to Bieber’s support on Twitter. She shared a public message of thanks for the singer. She wrote, “Each of us, including artists and entertainers, can do something.”
She also wrote, “Thank you, @justinbieber, for your support, in honor of #Justice, of @TheKingCenter’s work, and of our #BeLove campaign, which is a part of our global movement for justice.”
