Zayn Malik shared a post on Twitter to call out GRAMMY Awards. He tweeted, “F**k the grammys and everyone associated”. He also mentioned, “Unless you shake hands and send gifts, there’s no nomination considerations.” Then he added, “Next year I’ll send you a basket of confectionary”.

However, some fans are confused about the timing of this post. Because Zayn’s last album was “Nobody Is Listening” and it was released in January. So, it was not eligible for the GRAMMY nomination.

Later Zayn clarified his statement. He explained that his remarks were not about his album. He observed the show’s lack of diversity and lack of transparency when it comes to nominations and that’s why he posted his reactions.

Malik wrote, “My tweet was not personal or about eligibility but was about the need for inclusion and the lack of transparency of the nomination process and the space that creates and allows favoritism, racism, and networking politics to influence the voting process”.

The nominations for this year’s GRAMMY Award were announced back in November and it drew considerable heat for some of the more shocking snubs.

Malik is not the only person who is criticizing the GRAMMYs. Many celebrities from the music world were surprised after the initial announcement of this award. Fans were shocked when they found The Weekend didn’t get any single nomination for the record-breaking single in “Blinding Lights.” At that time, The Weekend tweeted, “the GRAMMYs remain corrupt”.
