Vanessa Bryant took spurred backlash on the lyric of Meek Mill’s song that leaked online last week.
Recently a song of rapper Meek Mill leaked online. In that song, the rapper mentioned the late NBA superstar’s death. Meek’s lyric stated, “This bitch I’m f—kin’ always tell me that she love but she ain’t ever showed me/ Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it by another Kobe.”
After hearing the song, Kobe’s 38-year-old widow Vanessa shared her criticism to her Instagram Story about the lyric. Vanessa wrote, “Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful,” She also wrote, “Period. I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”
Later Meek tweeted, “I’m going back savage in this s–t … f#%k ya feelings!” he also tweeted, “Ion trust people gotta play it raw ……” Meek also responds to the initial backlash, “somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it…. y’all internet antics cannot stop me ….s–t like zombie land or something! Lol.”
However, many individuals asked the 33-year-old rapper to apologize to Vanessa. The Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in 2020. Seven other passengers have also died in that tragic accident.
