Travis Scott and the developer of Fortnite event Epic Games struggled for months to put the event together. They both spent months going back and forth to work out the details. Though the actual length of this virtual concert is not very long, they had to work hard to make it a success. Scott couldn’t visit Epic Games’ North Carolina headquarters. So Epic Games had to send representatives to consult with Scott in California.

The rapper mentioned this digital event as a chance “to have unlimited fun”. He also said, “It was an opportunity to go to the max, to create a world that permits won’t let you do, fire marshals won’t let you do, building codes won’t let you do.”

Epic Games’ head of brand, Phil Rampulla said, “The landscape is changing…You’ve got to bring something that’s awesome. Otherwise, it’s ‘That’s just an ad.’ And those things are just getting glossed over.”
