Booksmart director Olivia Wilde expressed her interest to direct Her Female-Fronted Marvel Movie. She wants to develop a female-focused Marvel movie alongside Sony Pictures.
The details of Olivia’s interest is yet to reveal. However, Olivia’s recent response offers some exciting insight into this exciting news. Recently, Olivia simply shared a post on Twitter. She tweeted a spider emoji. It seems that she is confirming Deadline‘s report of the project of Spider-Woman. It is known that Amy Pascal will produce, Rachel O’Connor will executive produce and Katie Silberman will pen the script of this project.
However, fans need to wait and see how Olivia plans to reinvasion Spider-Woman for a modern audience. The character’s origin story is completely unrelated to her male counterpart.
At the Palm Springs Film Festival in 2019 she Olivia said, “I think the amazing thing about our industry is that you can do both…I’ve been producing movies for several years, I’ve acted in movies. I love all of these jobs, and I think it actually makes you better at each of them to do all of them. It makes me a better director to have been trained in acting.”
