The agency confirmed that the search warrant is part of an ongoing investigation related to “allegations of criminal acts surrounding the incident at Scottsdale Fashion Square in May 2020.” A spokesperson for the FBI said a search warrant was executed in Las Vegas too. The FBI declined to share any further comment at this moment as the affidavit is sealed.

The Internet personality Jack Paul has not posted anything in general since Aug. 2. Even he didn’t address his millions of fans publicly about this incident on any social media platform. His attorney for Paul published a statement, “We understand that a search warrant was executed at Jake’s Calabasas home this morning while Jake was out-of-state. We are still gathering information and will cooperate with the investigation.”

Paul has more than 20 million subscribers to his YouTube channel. However, he is no stranger to controversy. Earlier in June, he was charged with criminal trespass and unlawful assembly. Police also alleged he illegally entered and remained inside an Arizona mall when it was closed.

However, Paul denied any allegations that he participated in looting and vandalism. He shared a statement on Twitter, “For context, we spent the day doing our part to peacefully protest one of the most horrific injustices our country has ever seen, which led to us being tear-gassed for filming the events and brutality that were unfolding in Arizona.”

He also said, “We were gassed and forced to keep moving on foot. We filmed everything we saw in an effort to share our experience and bring more attention to the anger felt in every neighborhood we traveled through; we were strictly documenting, not engaging.”

The Internet celebrity continued, “I do not condone violence, looting or breaking the law; however, I understand the anger and frustration that led to the destruction that we witnessed and while it’s not the answer, it’s important that people see it and collectively figure out how to move forward in a healthy way. We are all doing the best we can to be helpful and raise awareness; this is not the time to attack each other, it’s time to join together and evolve.”
