Producer Steve Bing Dead at 55 in Apparent Suicide

Elizabeth Hurley’s ex and producer of Get Carter, Rules Don’t Apply, and Rock the Kasbah Steve Bing has died at the age of 55. It is assumed that he has committed suicide.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office stated that the film producer has died after jumping off a Century City building. According to the authority statement “The decedent was pronounced dead at the scene.” The spokesperson also stated that the incidence of suicide occurred at around 1 p.m. PST.

The film producer Bing had two children; Damian Hurley and daughter Kira Bonder. He had previous relationship with Elizabeth Hurley for long time. Prior to this relationship, he was engaged with former pro tennis player Lisa Bonder.

The film producer and philanthropist was the founder of Shangri-La Entertainment. It is a famous organization with interests in property, construction, entertainment and music. He also known for being a film financier. The late businessman invested $80 million in The Polar Express, as well as Robert Zemeckis’ Beowulf and the Rolling Stones concert film, Shine A Light. Bing also financed and produced the independently released Jerry Lee Lewis album Last Man Standing.
