Our links to the past are fragile things, which help us connect to a world unknown yet much of it fails to survive throughout the years. One much-overlooked part of our history are letters, many are lost yet one found its way in a small post office in Michigan.
The letter in question arrived one day, with a faded stamp, torn corners and a sending date which was over a century ago. Everyone at the small office was baffled by the appearance of the letter and thus embarked on an investigation that led them back to the Civil War.
